When the first National Mental Health Summit (NMHS) was launched in 2021, the goal was simple yet powerful: to bring together the country’s leading voices to advance mental health advocacy in the Philippines. Year after year, Mind You’s summit has become the premier gathering for mental health champions, shaping national conversations, influencing workplace policies, and sparking partnerships that make care more accessible to Filipinos.
But after four years of growing dialogue, one realization stood out: awareness is not enough.
The landscape of mental health in the Philippines continues to evolve, and with it, new challenges emerge. Recent studies reveal that 70.71% of Filipinos are experiencing workplace burnout, placing the country at the top of Southeast Asia. Over half of employees report presenteeism at 53%, showing up to work despite exhaustion or distress, while 21% experience work-related stress. Most alarmingly, burnout has led to a threefold increase in turnover intentions, signaling an urgent call for change in how organizations care for their people.
This is why, in 2025, the National Mental Health Summit is taking a bold turn.
From large-scale gatherings of policymakers and corporate leaders, the summit is now evolving into a targeted, action-driven movement. One that aims to reach more Filipinos, from the workplace to the community level. Guided by the theme “Redefining the Future: Today’s Insights Into Tomorrow’s Impact,” this year’s summit challenges all of us to look beyond conversations and toward measurable, lasting change.
This year, the summit will be fully online and completely free, allowing individuals from across the Philippines, and even from around the world, to participate.
What Awaits Participants
At this year’s Summit, Mind You will unveil mental health data gathered over the last five years across 40+ different industries in the Philippines. These insights reflect the real challenges and patterns experienced in the workplace and beyond—offering a clearer picture of how people are doing, what support they need, and where organizations can make the most impact.
Attendees can look forward to keynotes from thought leaders and industry experts and panel discussions on mental health systems and workplace culture.
More importantly, the summit offers practical takeaways that can inspire sustainable action, whether in organizations, schools, or local communities.
Why This Year Matters
“Redefining the Future” is a call to disrupt the norms that have kept mental health care reactive instead of preventative. The future of mental health is being shaped by the choices we make today in our workplaces, policies, and daily interactions.
Through this year’s summit, Mind You envisions a Philippines where every person has access to quality mental health support, every organization values well-being as a priority, and every community thrives through compassion and connection.
